Julia Backhaus has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Julia is currently Co-Founder of Ecaria GmbH, a digital solution for organizing care needs. Julia is also Vorständin (Board Member) at Immofemme e.G., where they focus on cooperative real estate investments. In addition, Julia is working in Business Development & Sales at intertempi.

Previously, Julia co-founded Habitalix, a digital property management company, and ohyouwomen.org, a network builder and collective that aims to inspire female leaders and challenge stereotypes. Julia also worked as a Business Strategy Consultant in Venture Building and as Chief Operating Officer at Convaron, a PropTech start-up.

Julia's experience in the education sector includes roles as Head of Business Development & Digital Business at Phorms Education and as Business Manager & Managing Director. Julia has also held positions in marketing at Phorms Education.

Outside of their professional work, Julia has traveled and explored South Africa.

Julia Backhaus completed their M.A. in Communication Science & Law at Technische Universität Dresden from 2001 to 2008. Julia also pursued Accompanying Studies in Regional Studies East Asia / Greater China at the same institution, although the duration of this program is unspecified. Additionally, they obtained certifications as a Certified Systemic Business Coach from Universität Hamburg in November 2019 and as a CSPO Product Owner from Scrum Alliance in November 2018.
