Evangelos Mitakidis has worked in the field of Information Security since 2016. Evangelos began their career as a Postgraduate Research Fellow at the Laboratory of Information & Communication Systems Security at the University of the Aegean. From 2017 to 2018, they worked as an Information Security Specialist at the Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs. In 2018, they joined Accenture as a Senior Security Penetration Tester, where they conducted security testing and penetration testing, and developed internal tools to automate and accelerate testing procedures. In 2019, they held roles at Edwards Lifesciences as a Distinguished Offensive Security Architect / Red Teamer, Senior Offensive Security Architect / Red Teamer, and Red Teamer - Penetration Tester. Evangelos also worked as a Security Researcher for Bugcrowd and HackerOne in 2019. In 2020, they joined Intigriti as a Security Researcher.
Evangelos Mitakidis has a diverse educational background. Evangelos has a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from the Alexander Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki. Evangelos also has a Master of Science in Information & Communication Systems Security from the University of the Aegean, which they obtained in 2016. Currently, they are a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Student and Researcher in Internet of Things (IoT) Security at the University of the Aegean, which they began in 2016. Additionally, Mitakidis has obtained numerous certifications, such as the Certified Red Team Operator from Zero-Point Security Ltd, Foundations of Breach & Attack Simulation from AttackIQ, Certified Splunk User from Splunk, and CREST Practitioner Security Analyst (CPSA) and CREST Registered Tester (CRT) from CREST. Evangelos is also currently working towards obtaining a Ransomware Techniques certification from Charles Sturt University.
