Intimacy Directors and Coordinators
April Sigman-Marx currently serves as an Adjunct Faculty at both the College of DuPage and Columbia College Chicago, teaching Acting 1 and Improvisational Acting. As an Intimacy Coordinator for Intimacy Directors and Coordinators since April 2022, April facilitates safe and respectful on-set environments for scenes requiring nudity and intimate contact. Additionally, April is the Founding Artistic Director and Faculty at Thumbprint Studios and has held various teaching and directing positions at institutions including the University of Northern Colorado and California State University-Long Beach. April's educational background includes a Master of Fine Arts in Acting and Performance Pedagogy from California State University, Long Beach, and dual Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Musical Theatre Performance from the New World School of the Arts and the University of Florida.

Intimacy Professionals are performer advocates and movement designers that improve the artistry and experience for all during the production of intimate scenes. Most of all, our work assists in preventing sexual harassment in the workplace.
