The Role

We are seeking a Live Commerce Human Resource Specialist to focus on attracting, engaging, and retaining the best talent for our Live Commerce business unit. This role will specialize in sourcing, onboarding, and supporting livestream hosts, moderators, production staff, and related roles critical to delivering high-impact live commerce campaigns.

The Live Commerce HR Specialist will ensure our teams are well-equipped and motivated to meet client objectives and excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
  • Develop and execute tailored recruitment strategies to attract top talent specific to live commerce, including livestream hosts, moderators, content creators, and production staff.

  • Leverage innovative sourcing methods, such as hosting talent auditions for livestream hosts or evaluating video portfolios for creative roles.

  • Partner with the Livestream Manager and department leads to forecast workforce needs for campaigns and ensure roles are filled promptly.

  • Build talent pipelines by collaborating with industry organizations, universities, and professional networks in the live commerce ecosystem.

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, ensuring candidates align with Intrepid’s live commerce objectives and cultural values.

  1. Employee Engagement and Retention
  • Design and implement engagement initiatives that reflect the unique challenges and opportunities of live commerce roles, such as performance recognition programs for top hosts and moderators.
  • Oversee onboarding programs customized for live commerce staff, ensuring a seamless introduction to Intrepid’s platforms, tools, and workflows.
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions with employees to address their unique needs and create retention strategies that reduce turnover among critical roles.
  • Develop career development pathways for livestream talent, including training in presentation skills, content creation, and platform-specific optimization.
  1. Performance and Development Management

    • Work with the Livestream Manager to establish and monitor KPIs specific to live commerce, such as host engagement metrics, Enter Room Rates, and session GMV.

    • Organize skill development workshops tailored to the live commerce team, focusing on audience engagement, platform-specific features, and real-time troubleshooting.

    • Support performance review cycles for live commerce staff, providing tools and insights for the Livestream Manager to evaluate and guide their teams.

  2. Team Culture and Collaboration

    • Foster a collaborative and high-energy environment within the live commerce team by organizing team-building activities and recognition events.

    • Act as a bridge between the HR department and the live commerce unit, addressing specific concerns related to livestream operations, such as high-pressure timelines or platform updates.

    • Ensure alignment of HR initiatives with broader live commerce objectives, including supporting talent for major campaigns or peak sales events.

  3. Compliance and Reporting

    • Ensure all HR practices within the live commerce unit comply with local labor laws and Intrepid policies.
      • Track and analyze HR metrics such as recruitment lead time, employee engagement scores, and retention rates specific to live commerce.

      • Prepare and present reports to the Livestream Manager and Head of Live Commerce to highlight key HR achievements and areas for improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience:

    • 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2 years focusing on recruitment and talent management for roles in live commerce, digital media, or eCommerce.
    • Proven ability to attract, engage, and retain talent in high-pressure, performance-driven environments.
    • Familiarity with livestreaming platforms such as TikTok Shop, Shopee Live, and Lazada Live is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in using HR tools and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage and motivate teams in a dynamic setting.
