Bryan T. Butman

SVP & Head of CMC at Precigen

Dr. Bryan T. Butman serves as Senior Vice President, Head of CMC for Precigen. Prior to joining Precigen, Dr. Butman was with GenVec where he spent 18 years in various senior leadership positions. Dr. Butman has designed, constructed and validated two pilot manufacturing facilities in Maryland for clinical production of gene therapy products and has led successful CMC programs for gene and cell therapy products. Dr. Butman served as the Program Leader for the first vaccine approved and licensed by USDA for the prevention of foot and mouth disease in cattle and has successfully obtained US FDA approvals for immunodiagnostic products for human health. Dr. Butman holds a BS degree in Biology from the University of Detroit and MS degree in Biology from Wayne State University. Dr. Butman received his PhD in Biological Sciences from Wayne State University and completed his postdoctoral work in Immunology/Microbiology at Wayne State University Medical School.
