Job description

Role
In this role, you will be responsible for building out infrastructure for the training and deployment of large-scale robotic foundation models. Your work begins early in the process of scoping projects with our customers and partners, and drives impact by demonstrating our technology and capabilities. With a strong focus on creating utility value for partners and customers, you will help determine data and ML infrastructure requirements, write clear specifications, review designs, and contribute to our engineering teams to design and build successful solutions. You will contribute to a project with several German industry partners and to creating a data ecosystem for robotics.
How your work moves the mission forward
- Help design solutions for training large-scale robotic foundation models
- Improve existing systems by adapting scalable pipelines for distributed computing and data processing
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams in order to optimally support customer use cases
Skills you will need to be successful
- Four-year degree in Computer Science
- Experience collaborating on medium to large software projects for at least 4 years
- Experience in programming Python / C++
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Demonstrable experience with Google cloud computing (Google Cloud), containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), service-oriented architectures, and
- Experience with machine learning frameworks (Tensorflow, JAX)
Skills that will differentiate your candidacy
- Fluency in German language (writing and speaking) preferred
- Experience in robotics
- Experience with deploying ML services at scale
- Practical experience in debugging distributed systems (network issues, performance problems)
