Senior Software Engineer / Manager at Intrinsic

Aida Zhumabekova has a diverse work experience that spans several companies and roles. Aida is currently working as a Software Engineer at Intrinsic since July 2021. Prior to that, they were involved in the Outtalent fellowship program as an Advocate from March 2019 onwards. Aida also worked as a Software Engineer at X, the moonshot factory from April 2020 to July 2021. Aida has substantial experience at Google, where they held the roles of Software Engineer at Google Lens from April 2018 to April 2020 and Software Engineer at Google Daydream from July 2016 to April 2018. Aida has also had short-term experiences at Square as part of their Code Camp program and at iD Tech as an Instructor, both in 2015. Aida's earliest work experience was as a UNI Project Manager at the US General Consulate from May 2013 to August 2013. Aida was also a Global Changemaker for the British Council in November 2012, where they represented Kazakhstan in the Global Youth Summit.

Aida Zhumabekova has a strong educational background in the field of computer science. Aida obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Mount Holyoke College in 2016. During their undergraduate studies, they also attended the Aquincum Institute of Technology in 2014-2015, where they pursued an additional Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

In 2012-2013, Aida enrolled in Nazarbayev University and earned a Bachelor's degree from the School of Humanities and Social Studies. Later on, in 2017-2019, they pursued further studies at Stanford University, where they completed a Visual Computing Graduate Certificate. Their coursework at Stanford focused on computational imaging, computer graphics, and human vision.
