Naveen Basavanhally

Naveen Basavanhally is a seasoned data scientist with a robust background in economics and data analysis. Currently serving as a Staff Data Scientist at Intuit since June 2024, Naveen previously held the position of Senior Economist at Amazon from February 2019 to June 2024, where contributions were made to the Global Specialty Fulfilment team through the application of R, Python, SQL, Git, Airflow, and AWS. Naveen's academic journey at the University of California, San Diego spanned from September 2012 to January 2019, culminating in a Ph.D. in Economics, supported by work as a Graduate Student Researcher focused on charitable giving and prosocial behavior. Additional prior experience includes significant teaching and research roles at UC San Diego and Rutgers University, where achievements led to recognition such as the Henry Rutgers Scholars Award and the Paul Robeson Scholar honor.
