Brian Birge

Brian Birge serves as the Mission Design Lead at Intuitive Machines since March 2021, overseeing mission analyses and managing a team of spacecraft subsystem experts to ensure mission success. Prior experience includes roles as a Subject Matter Expert at S&K Global Solutions specializing in simulations and numerical computations, and an Aerospace Engineer/GN&C Analyst at Anadarko Industries focusing on guidance, navigation, and control for the International Space Station. Additional engineering roles span L-3 Communications, Boeing, and NASA Langley Research Center, where Brian developed advanced control strategies and algorithms for various aerospace applications. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from North Carolina State University and dual bachelor's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Purdue University.
