Daniel N. Miller

Daniel N. Miller is a highly experienced systems analyst and engineer with a focus on control systems and algorithms in the field of robotics and energy management. With a tenure at Intuitive since July 2013, Daniel has progressed through roles from Sr. Systems Analyst/Controls Engineer to Managing Principal Systems Analyst, contributing to the development of software for the da Vinci surgical robotic systems. Daniel's previous experience includes algorithm design for energy management at Vigilent, mechanical engineering research at the Air Force Research Laboratory, and software engineering for flight control systems at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems. Daniel holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, a Master's degree in the same field, and a Bachelor's degree, all from the University of California, San Diego. Academic roles included teaching assistant positions and research involvement, showcasing a strong foundation in both practical and theoretical aspects of mechanical engineering.
