Gillian S. Duncan

Gillian S. Duncan, Ed.D. leads the customer-focused education, training, and program optimization initiatives for Intuitive worldwide, including development and execution of industry-leading customer training programs and best practice consulting solutions.

An advocate for lifelong education and learning for surgeons and care teams alike, Dr. Duncan played a fundamental role in the expansion of Intuitive’s global training centers, capabilities, and range of offerings. Since joining the company in 2006, she led teams to transform the company’s approach to online education through Intuitive Learning, a cloud-enabled learning management system that guides surgeons and care teams through individualized learning plans, while offering easy access to peer-led interactive instructional videos. Dr. Duncan also drove the expansion of Genesis, Intuitive’s premier onsite education and consulting service, to ensure customers across the globe have access to collaborative consulting programs focused on helping improve the patient and provider experience and reduce the total cost of care.

Prior to joining Intuitive, Dr. Duncan held both teaching and research positions at Columbia University and California State University, East Bay.

Dr. Duncan holds a bachelor’s degree in Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley and master’s and doctorate degrees in Applied Physiology from Columbia University.
