Vageesha Fernando

Vageesha Fernando has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles.

Starting in 2005, Vageesha worked as a Field & Resident Engineer for E-W Information Systems Ltd until 2009, where they were involved in projects for South Asia Gateway Terminals (Pvt) Ltd.

From 2009 to 2012, Vageesha served as the Head of IT Infrastructure and Application Solutions at Intercorp Solutions (Pvt) Ltd, and concurrently held the position of Head of IT Solutions at Urban Engineering (Pvt) Ltd from 2010 to 2012.

Vageesha then transitioned into the role of Solutions Consultant for retail and hospitality management solutions at FourSquare Technologies LLC from 2013 to 2015.

Following that, they worked as a Solutions Consultant specializing in Dynamics AX Retail & SCM at AdRem Technologies in Dubai from 2015 to 2017, where they successfully implemented AX 2012 R3 in over 140 stores and conducted gap analysis to address critical business gaps.

From 2017 to 2021, Vageesha held the position of Project Lead and Senior Consultant at Medlar InfoTech, where they led Dynamics ERP implementation projects, conducted user acceptance testing and training sessions, and provided guidance to the technical team for customizations and functional testing.

Most recently, Vageesha has been working at Gulf Marketing Group as an ERP Consultant and Solution Lead since 2021, where they responsible for ERP consultancy and leading solutions.

Vageesha's career progression and extensive experience demonstrate their expertise in Dynamics AX, ERP implementation, project management, and resource management.

Vageesha Fernando began their education in 1989 at Nalanda College Colombo, where they completed their primary and secondary education. In 2003, they attended Langway Institute and obtained a Diploma in Graphics, specializing in Graphic Design. The following year, in 2004, they pursued a Diploma in IT at Ewis Career Training (Pvt) Ltd. In 2005, Vageesha continued their education at the Open University of Sri Lanka, where they obtained a B-Tech degree in Engineering, focusing on Information Technology.

In 2014, Vageesha obtained an additional certification as a Pixel Point Certified Professional from PAR University.
