Gary Lais

Gary Lais is the current Vice President of Scale Management at Invatron Systems. Prior to joining Invatron, Gary held various positions at Accellos Inc., Vignette Corporation, Freight Logix Inc., and Innovisions.

Gary began their career in 2000 as a Senior Sales Engineer at Vignette Corporation. In 2002, they became Vice President of Development and Owner at Freight Logix Inc. and also began working as a Partner/Consultant for IS Management at Innovisions. In 2005, Gary joined Accellos Inc. as Senior Product Manager.

During their time at Accellos, Gary implemented a number of changes that resulted in improved visibility and increased accuracy for hitting release targets. Gary also overhauled the development process, which created a more stable product and resulted in a 90% reduction in received support tickets. In addition, Gary improved performance of the product across the application by an average of close to 40%, and by as much as 75% in some areas. Gary also architected and designed a next generation product based on Object-Oriented principles and Domain Driven Design. Finally, Gary implemented proper testing and release management practices to ensure quality of the product, resulting in substantially easier upgrades for our customers.

In 2011, Gary left Accellos to join Invatron Systems as VP of Scale Management.

-Gary Lais attended the University of Waterloo where they obtained their BASc in Mechanical Engineering.

Their manager is Tim Spencer, President & CEO. Gary Lais works with Russ Newall - VP, Customer Success, Kurt Brands - COO, and Joe Smirlies - SVP, Product Management.
