M. Sekaran Muthaya has a solid background in supplier quality engineering. M.Sekaran began their career at Kuan Yik Engineering in 2005, where they monitored the quality of incoming raw materials and tools for the fastener manufacturing process. M.Sekaran also initiated procurement and calibration schedules for measuring equipment and worked closely with suppliers to address quality issues.

M.Sekaran then went on to enroll at the University Technology of Malaysia (UTM), SM La Salle Petaling Jaya, from 1997 to 2001. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering degree with a specialization in Bioprocess Engineering. Additionally, they obtained another Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University Technology of Malaysia, Skudai, during the same period.
