Anna Ritter has been working in the science field since 2000. Anna began their career as an Internship at the University of Hamburg. From 2003 to 2013, they were a Visiting Scholar at the University of Michigan Health System, where they conducted research on the secretion mechanism of the intermediate filament Vimentin by macrophages and investigated Vimentin as a potential biomarker in prostate cancer. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they were responsible for establishing and supervising a BSL3 laboratory, writing and submitting of biosafety and animal safety protocols, and writing and editing of grant proposals and manuscripts for publishing. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Research and Development Scientist at InvivoSciences® Inc., where they were the lead scientist on an NCATS project, developing high throughput screening assays using 3D tissue to assess the safety of novel and existing drug compounds, and wrote and edited NCATS and SBIR grants. Since 2019, they have been at Invenra, where they have held the roles of Senior Scientist I, Senior Scientist II, and Senior Scientist III.
Anna Ritter completed their Bachelor of Science in Biology (Biochemistry and Immunology) from the University of Hamburg in 2003.
