Jessica Wiwczar, PhD has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Jessica began their career in 2006 as an Undergraduate Researcher at Mount Holyoke College, where they studied protein-DNA contacts of T7 RNA polymerase to elucidate the structural mechanism of abortive transcription. In 2008, they worked as a Research Technician at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In 2011, they were a Research Intern at Pfizer and a Graduate Student Researcher and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Yale University. In 2018, they were an Associate Scientist in Downstream Process Development at Catalent Pharma Solutions, where they developed downstream purification processes for challenging monoclonal antibodies, communicated project plans, progress, and results to clients, and mentored interns and junior lab members in technical areas regarding protein purification and equipment onboarding. In 2019, they were a Scientist III, Downstream Process Development and Technical Operations at Aldevron. Currently, they are a Senior Scientist II Bioprocess and Early Development and Senior Scientist Protein Engineering & Translational Bioprocessing at Invenra.
Jessica Wiwczar, PhD completed their Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Studio Art from Mount Holyoke College in 2008. Jessica then went on to pursue their Doctor of Philosophy in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University, which they obtained in 2017. In 2020, they obtained certifications in Grit: How Teams Persevere to Accomplish Great Goals and Managing Team Creativity from LinkedIn.
