Overtime Status: Exempt

Employment Status: Full-Time

Pay Range: $120,000 to $140,000 / yearly DOE

The hiring pay range for this position is $120,000 to $140,000 per year based on skills, education, and experience relevant to this role.

Effective the first of the month following the date of hire, employees are eligible to participate in the following Inventprise employee benefit programs:

  • Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA, or HSA:  Currently Inventprise contributes 80% toward the Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage for the employee, and enrolled spouse and dependents.  Medical plans are currently provided through Premera Blue Cross.

  • 401(k) program: Inventprise contributes 3% of employee base pay each pay period to their 401(k) account. Employee contributions are at the discretion of the employee.

  • Paid Time Off: Employees start PTO accruals at the rate of 5.83 hours each pay period - annualized equivalent of 140 hours/year.

Job Summary

Inventprise is seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee the strategy and execution of all facility - engineering functions. This position will provide strategic leadership for the Engineering function including, but not limited to, Equipment & Facility Maintenance, Reliability Engineering Compliance, Health & Safety Compliance, staff management, and leadership.

Responsibilities:

Primary duties include:

  • Provide leadership to a diverse group of talented engineers and technicians, who will deliver on the Preventative Maintenance and Calibration plans in a timely and cost-effective manner, while adhering to safety, sustainability and quality standard.

  • Oversee the development and application of engineering standards and procedures; provides guidance on issues within the engineering function.

  • Oversee /Manage / Guide company’s Environmental, Health and Safety team.

  • Instill/ensure discipline in key areas such as Supplier/partner selection, Spare Parts Management, Maintenance Service Agreements, Knowledge management and Capital planning.

  • Manage a strong Calibration and Preventative maintenance program with an assistance of an validated CMMS.

  • Establish policies and procedures for engineering related matters, assuring management reporting through the development metrics and performance indicators to monitor and trend result, and taking actions to correct, prevent and/or improve execution and future performance.

  • Ensure effective and compliant operations in accordance with site registrations, cGMPs and environmental regulations and state requirements; acquire and maintain permits and certifications as necessary.

  • Supervise / Manage varies activities related to general upkeeping and housekeeping of the facility, including management of waste Disposal activities with outside Vendors.

  • Manage maintenance of all Plant critical utilities like WFI, Clean Steam, Process air. Process gases, Autoclaves etc.

  • Generate as required and follow all SOPs related to facility / Utility and Process Equipment.

  • Support Quality Assurance department with Investigation activities as related to facility or utilities.

  • Manage BMS, Environmental Monitoring, Fusion system of the GMP areas and GMP equipment.

  • Manage all annual external agencies walkthrough/ Inspections like Fire, Boiler, hazards material etc.

  • Manage, maintenance and attend remote monitoring of critical Temp /Humidity Alarm System.

  • Manage external Support Contractors /Vendors as related to Facility / Utilities.

  • Other duties not listed in this description might be asked of this position.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledgeable in the following systems: Compressed Air, Steam, Chilled Water, Pharmaceutical Utilities, Purification, Filling, Bioreactors, Sterilization, Clean Steam, Purified water and Water for Injection.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to manage through influence.

  • Proven knowledge of best practices as they relate to facility/process/manufacturing engineering.

  • Demonstrated expertise in mentoring/team development, change management, planning/organizing.

  • Demonstrated deep technical knowledge of facility/process/manufacturing Engineering in a biotech/pharmaceutical environment.

  • Ability to work hours necessary to support the running of the site, inclusive of non-traditional work hours

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and manage various priorities and timelines and to adapt quickly to changing circumstances.

Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience or BS degree in a technical discipline (Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering required) with a minimum 8 years of relevant experience; advanced degree in Engineering-related discipline preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing or managing an effective technical group (Engineering, Maintenance, Reliability or Facilities & Process Engineering) discipline at a biotech/pharmaceutical company.
  • Knowledge of reliability engineering, preventive, condition based, and predictive maintenance program.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance management systems CMMS systems
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain clear and accurate documentation of process equipment or manufacturing processes.
  • Equivalent education and experience may substitute for stated requirements.

Physical Demands:

  • Adequate visual and mental acuity to maintain prolonged use of computer work.

  • Multiple hours of standing, sitting, or walking when performing computer work.

Mental Demands:

  • Self-directing, once training is successfully completed, but with the need to immediately elevate potential concerns/discrepancies to management in a timely fashion.

  • Must maintain a professional demeanor in communicating with all Inventprise personnel.

  • Ability to tackle various tasks and switch pace based on priorities.

Working Conditions:

  • Onsite presence is required in Washington, US.
