Matthew Klara

Matthew Klara has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Matthew started their career as a Marketing Communications Intern at Merchandise Mart in 2002. Matthew then occupied various roles at different companies, including Director of Office of Academic Programs and Facilities at University of Illinois at Chicago, Manager of Student Services at Chamberlain College of Nursing, and Assistant General Manager at CA VENTURES, LLC. In 2016, they joined WeWork as a Community Manager for a brief period before moving to InvenTrust Properties Corp. (IVT) where they progressed from Financial Analyst to Senior Investment Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Capital Markets & Corporate Sustainability at InvenTrust Properties Corp. (IVT) since September 2021.

Matthew Klara has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Marketing from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business. Matthew also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Illinois Chicago-College of Business Administration, with a focus on Real Estate, Finance, and Entrepreneurship. Additionally, Matthew completed a Study Abroad program in Business at the University of Westminster. Matthew has obtained additional certifications including LEED Green Associate from the U.S. Green Building Council and a Real Estate Salesperson License from IDFPR.
