Marcél du Toit

Marcél du Toit is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and strategic advisory services. Currently serving as Managing Director at Villion & Co since January 2024, Marcél provides premium M&A and strategic advisory solutions for the middle market. Previously, as Chief Executive Officer of Bondspark from April 2019 to July 2023, Marcél founded South Africa's first online mortgage origination platform, processing over R5 billion in mortgages and leading a successful merger with a prominent industry player. Additionally, Marcél held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Leadhome, where the company became the leading technology-enabled real estate brokerage in South Africa. Previous roles also include Vice President of Corporate Finance at Deutsche Bank and Manager of Corporate Finance at Macquarie Bank, along with experience at Deloitte MCS Ltd. Marcél holds an M.Sc. in Management from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and a B.A. in Value and Policy Studies from Stellenbosch University.
