Nishant Deshpande

Nishant Deshpande has a diverse work experience. Nishant is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of OpenPitch, where they are involved in building tools to assist investors and portfolio companies. Prior to this, Nishant worked as an Associate at an Investment Advisory Firm from July 2018 to December 2020. Nishant also gained valuable experience as a Financial Analyst at BMO Financial Group, where they underwrote new deals, performed financial analysis, and ran financial modeling for middle-market clients across various industries. Nishant interned as a Research Analyst at Heartland Advisors, Inc., where they learned and practiced the fundamentals of value investing and assisted with various research tasks. Nishant also interned at Robert W. Baird & Co. in public finance and client services roles. Additionally, Nishant served as a Business Learning Community Resident Assistant at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee, where they coordinated events with local businesses and provided mentorship and guidance to residents.

Nishant Deshpande completed their education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2012 to 2016. Nishant obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a specialization in Investments and Securities. In addition to their degree, Nishant also obtained two certifications. In October 2018, they obtained the Series 66 certification from FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority). A month earlier, in September 2018, they had also obtained the Series 7 certification from the same institution.
