Hyewon Kong, CFA, has a diverse work experience in the investment management field. Hyewon Kong, is currently a Member of the Board of Directors at UBC Investment Management Trust and serves as the Vice President and Head of Responsible Investing at the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario. Hyewon also holds positions at the Pension Investment Association of Canada, where they are a member of the Investor Stewardship Committee, and the University of Toronto, School of the Environment, where they are a member of the Environmental Finance Advisory Committee. Hyewon Kong, has previously worked as an Investment Committee Member at The Atmospheric Fund and as the Head of ESG and Chair of the ESG Committee at AGF Investments. Hyewon has also been involved in responsible investment initiatives, serving as a Board Member of the RI Week Advisory Board for the Responsible Investment Association in Canada. Hyewon Kong,'sprevious experience includes roles at WHEB, Janus Henderson Investors, and Jupiter Asset Management.
Hyewon Kong, CFA holds a CFA Charterholder degree from the CFA Institute. Hyewon Kong, also obtained a Certificate in Climate Change: Risks and Opportunities for the Finance Sector from the UNEP Finance Initiative in 2008. In 2006, they completed their MSc in Nature, Society and Environmental Policy from the University of Oxford. Prior to that, in 2002, they earned their BA in Russian Studies, English Studies, and Education from Hankuk University of Foreign Studies.
