Matthew Mendes

Matthew Mendes has a strong background in energy and finance, with extensive experience at various organizations. Matthew is currently the Managing Director and Head of Infrastructure at the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (IMCO) since November 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at Pulse Clean Energy from August 2020 to November 2022, and at Valence Energy Capital Corporation from August 2020 to February 2022. Before these roles, they held positions at Whipcord as the Chief Financial Officer from March 2019 to August 2020, and at Enbridge as the Director of Corporate Development from October 2017 to March 2019. Matthew also held various roles at Enbridge from 2010 to 2016, including Senior Manager of Financial Partnerships, Manager of Green Energy Business Development, and Senior Advisor of Green Energy Business Development.

Matthew Mendes earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from McGill University in 2003. Matthew then pursued a Master's in Economics from the University of Sydney, completing it in 2006.
