Santiago E. Gomez

Santiago E. Gomez is a seasoned financial professional currently serving as a Senior Macro Strategist and Portfolio Manager at the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario since April 2023. Prior to this role, Santiago held various positions, including as a Bespoke Advisor focusing on business strategy at Gomez Labs from 2021 to June 2023, and as Chief Economist at CN from 2017 to 2021, where responsibilities included overseeing global macroeconomic forecasts and providing economic guidance to senior executives. Santiago's extensive experience also encompasses a decade as a Senior Global Macro Strategist at BCA Research, where analysis of business, credit, sentiment, and monetary cycles informed investment strategies. Earlier roles included consulting for the UNDP and the World Bank, as well as internships at the United States Senate and Citi. Santiago earned a Master’s degree in Applied Economics and a B.A. in Economics and International Relations from Boston University and has served as a guest lecturer at McGill University.
