Liz Cole is an experienced professional in investor relations and business law, currently serving as the Head of Policy and Communications at The Investor Relations Society since January 2022. In this role, Liz represents the Society's members on governance, corporate reporting, and regulatory matters while engaging with external stakeholders. Previously, Liz spent over 18 years at ICAEW in various managerial positions, addressing workplace pensions, company law, insolvency, and data protection, including developing guidance and coordinating representational work. Prior to ICAEW, Liz was a Managing Associate at Linklaters, focusing on corporate taxation, and began a career in law after obtaining a law degree from the College of Law and a chemistry and biology degree from the University of Oxford. Additionally, Liz served as a Trooper in the Honourable Artillery Company's signals detachment.

The Investor Relations Society (IR Society) is a membership organisation that exists to develop the investor relations profession in the UK and beyond. It is run by IR professionals for IR professionals. Established in 1980, the IR Society is Europe’s leading professional body for investor relations practitioners.
