Ion Cojocaru

Ion Cojocaru has a diverse work experience starting from 2008 to 2021. Ion began their career as a Java Developer at Embarcadero Technologies, where they developed and maintained the core module for database workload. Ion then worked as a Senior Researcher at EarlyTracks, where they designed and implemented a knowledge acquisition framework and conducted industrial research in NLP, Semantic Web, and Search Engines.

Ion Cojocaru joined Kunstmaan as a Senior Java Consultant, specializing in the development and support of a middleware layer for a trading platform. Ion integrated financial data providers and an in-house content management system, optimized performance, and conducted extensive testing in an agile environment.

Afterwards, Ion Cojocaru joined KBC Securities as an ICT Developer, taking on the role of a technical lead. Ion resolved complex issues, optimized architecture, integrated software vendors, and participated in the validation and defense of technical choices in front of the Architecture Board. Ion also prototyped new solutions and provided coaching and code reviews to team members.

In 2019, Ion Cojocaru founded QuantumSoft, and later joined InvestSuite as the Head of Engineering in September 2021.

Ion Cojocaru earned a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Universitatea "Alexandru Ioan Cuza" din Iași, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. In addition to their degree, they also obtained two certifications: a Deep Learning Specialization from Coursera Course Certificates, which they received in April 2018, and a Probabilistic Graphical Models Specialization from Coursera, which they completed in August 2017.
