Full Stack Software Engineer

This is a full-time role that can be based in Saint Louis, MO, but will also consider remote based in the US.

Position Overview: As a Full Stack Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust software solutions using a combination of Postgres, Python, Django, React Native, and Expo. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and user-centric applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs using Python and Django framework.
• Develop mobile applications using React Native and Expo, ensuring optimal performance and user experience across various devices.
• Build and maintain web frontends utilizing React.js for seamless user interaction and functionality.
• Implement data storage solutions using Postgres, ensuring data integrity, security, and scalability.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following industry best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews, identify areas for improvement, and mentor junior team members.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks relevant to the software development landscape.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience (2+ years) as a Full Stack Engineer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in backend development using Python and Django framework.
• Solid understanding of relational databases and experience with Postgres.
• Experience in developing mobile applications using React Native and Expo.
• Proficiency in frontend development using React.js or similar frameworks.
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Self-motivated with a passion for learning and staying updated on industry trends.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with TypeScript for frontend development.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
