Jeana Dare

Jeana DaRe, PhD, FACMG has extensive experience in the field of laboratory medicine and clinical genetics. Most recently, they served as the Lead Clinical Laboratory Director at Invitae starting in 2022. Prior to that, they held various roles at Progenity, Inc., including Vice President of Laboratory Medicine from 2019 to 2022, Director of Laboratory Affairs and Senior Laboratory Director from 2017 to 2018, Laboratory Director from 2015 to 2017, and Associate Laboratory Director from 2014 to 2015. Before Progenity, they worked at Transgenomic as a Laboratory Director from 2013 to 2014 and as an Assistant Laboratory Director from 2011 to 2013. Jeana began their career at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center as a Clinical Molecular Genetics Fellow from 2009 to 2011.

Jeana DaRe, PhD, FACMG completed their education in the following sequence:

Jeana graduated from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry.

Jeana then pursued a Ph.D. in Genetics from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine from 2004 to 2009.

In 2009 to 2011, they completed a Clinical Molecular Genetics Fellowship at Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center.

Jeana DaRe has also obtained several additional certifications: Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist (CGMB) license from the California Department of Public Health in February 2023, a Certificate of Qualification in Genetic testing - Limited to Molecular from the New York State Department of Health in 2013, and a Clinical Molecular Genetics certification from the American Board of Medical Genetics in 2011.
