Karina Ionescu

Karina Ionescu has extensive experience in human resources and business development. Karina is currently working as a Principal HR Business Partner at Invitae since August 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior HR Business Partner at Vizient, Inc from November 2019 to August 2021. Karina also served as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner at AltaMed Health Services from February 2017 to October 2019, where they were responsible for various HR functions and employee engagement initiatives. Karina has held several managerial roles in global human resources at KLX Aerospace Solutions and B/E Aerospace, where they worked on organizational development and provided HR consultation to business leaders. Earlier in their career, they gained experience in project management and training design at DHL. Karina started their professional journey as the National President of AIESEC in Mexico, where they managed multiple offices and led external relations in the public and private sectors. Karina also had an internship experience in human resources at Coca Cola PANAMCO.

Karina Ionescu earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Universidad de las Américas Puebla between 1997 and 2001. Karina later completed a Post Baccalaureate program in Logistics and Transportation at the University of Miami in 2010. In 2015, Karina obtained a Master Certificate in Human Resources from Cornell University, ILR School. Karina also pursued additional certifications, including Six Sigma Blackbelt from Rath and Strong in 2011 and ProSci Change Management from Prosci in 2017. Karina further obtained certifications in Process Improvement Advisor from Deutsche Post DHL in 2010, 360 Assessment and Coaching Feedback from Cubiks in 2008, and Accelerated Change Transition (ACT) from Deutsche Post DHL in 2008. Lastly, Karina completed a certification as a Personalysis Practitioner from Personalysis in 2021.
