The executive team at Invitae has a long history of experience in the medical and scientific industries. Many members have worked as staff scientists at companies like Pacific Biosciences, SEQanswers.com, and Poetic Genetics. Other members have experience in strategic planning with the San Francisco 49ers, financial investments with the Stanford Management Company, forensics and litigation consulting with FTI Consulting, and clinical medicine with UCSF Medical Center. Additionally, the team has a variety of academic experiences, including genetics from Stanford University and UC Davis, medical genetics from Baylor College of Medicine, and internal medicine from Washington University/Barnes Hospital.
