Ryan Shultz has extensive work experience in the field of information technology and enterprise architecture. Ryan currently serves as the Vice President of Digital Experience at Involta, a position they have held since July 2023. Prior to this, they were the Vice President of Information Technology at Involta from November 2021 to July 2023.
Ryan had earlier roles at Involta, including Enterprise Architect from November 2019 to November 2021 and Director of Sales Engineering from April 2017 to November 2019. In these positions, they played a key role in transforming the Sales Engineering team, increasing training requirements and implementing employee engagement strategies. Ryan also worked on creating and deploying infrastructure solutions for cloud services platforms, achieving 100% uptime and partnering with internal teams to bring services to market.
In addition to their roles at Involta, Ryan has also worked as an Enterprise Architect at EdgeData, LLC, where they used Big Data to build new systems and deliver new technology. Ryan led development teams and ensured consistency between design and deployment.
Before that, they worked at Kirkwood Community College as an Adjunct Faculty member and taught courses in the Business Department. Ryan also served as a Unix Systems Administrator at Kirkwood, where they managed the student registration system.
Ryan's career started at TRC, where they worked as a Systems Architect.
Ryan Shultz attended Kirkwood Community College from 1997 to 1999, where they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Management Information Systems, General. In addition, they have several certifications in the field of IT. Ryan earned the RedHat Certified Technician v9 certification from Red Hat in September 2003. Ryan also holds several certifications from VMware, including VMware Certified Professional 3 in November 2008, VMware Certified Professional 4 - Data Center Virtualization in November 2009, and VMware Certified Professional 5 - Data Center Virtualization in February 2012. Ryan obtained the Information Storage Associate Version 2 (EMCISA) certification from EMC in May 2013. Ryan further expanded their expertise by acquiring the Cloud Architect, Virtualized Infrastructure Specialist Version 1.0 and Cloud Architect, IT-as-a-Service Expert Version 1.0 (EMCCAe) certifications from EMC in May 2014. Most recently, Ryan obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services in December 2018.
