Matthew Ghent is a seasoned professional in the fields of data and bioinformatics, currently serving as the COO and Co-founder of Involve Data Inc. since January 2024, where the firm specializes in advising leaders and enhancing business strategies in venture capital and life sciences sectors. As the Founder and Principal Consultant at Fire Point Labs since February 2022, Matthew has leveraged extensive experience in various leadership roles, including Senior Director of Data Infrastructure at Sana Biotechnology, Inc., and Head of IT & Informatics at Ambys Medicines. Matthew's background includes roles such as Director of Informatics at iCarbonX and Bioinformatic Data Scientist at Invitae, complemented by a strong educational foundation with an M.S. in Cell and Neurobiology from the University of Southern California and a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Penn State University.
