Francois Ringeisen has over 25 years of work experience in various roles related to clinical development and medical oncology. Francois currently serves as the VP of Clinical Development at IO Biotech. Prior to that, they held positions as the Head of Oncology at Polyphor Ltd and the Head of Clinical Development at APEIRON Biologics AG. Francois has also worked at Eli Lilly and Company as an International Medical Director, specializing in breast cancer, and as a Medical Director for the EU region. Francois has also held roles at Novartis as a Senior Global Brand Medical Director, a Clinical Program Leader in Oncology Translational Medicine, and a Clinical Indication Leader in Oncology Translational Medicine. Earlier in their career, Francois worked as a Medical Director in Clinical Development at PDL BioPharma and as an Associate Professor in Medical Oncology at Université Grenoble Alpes. Francois also gained experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Boston Children's Hospital and as an Assistant Professor at Université Pierre et Marie Curie. Francois began their career as a Medical Oncology Specialist at the Cancer Center Henri Becquerel.
Francois Ringeisen completed their education at various institutions. Francois obtained an MD degree from Necker-Enfants-Malades Medical School at Université Paris Cité from 1981 to 1987. Francois later pursued a Master's degree in Biochemistry from the same university from 1989 to 1990.
Subsequently, they completed a General Virology Course and a DEA virology program at Pasteur Institute in 1991 and 1992, respectively.
Continuing their education, Francois earned a PhD degree in Microbiology from Université Paris Cité in 1996. Francois then pursued DES Medical Oncology, serving as an Interne des Hôpitaux de Paris (resident), from 1987 to 1994.
Finally, they joined Harvard Medical School as a post-doctoral fellow at Children's Hospital in 2000, specializing in stem cell research.
