Fisayo Tairu

Fisayo Tairu has a diverse work experience ranging from roles in client support to laboratory work. The most recent position held was as a Client Support Analyst at Iodine Software, starting in 2022. Prior to this, Fisayo worked as a Graduate Student Intern at Houston Methodist from March to May 2022, where they were responsible for determining the acceptability of specimens and interpreting and reporting test results. They also interacted with medical directors for result interpretation and potential treatment options.

Before that, Fisayo worked as a Laboratory Technician at Scott Laboratories from December 2021 to March 2022. They performed and analyzed enzyme-based tests and contributed to research ideas and feasibility. Additionally, Fisayo held the role of Laboratory Assistant at Texas Tech University - TIEHH Bioterrorism Response Laboratory from August 2021 to January 2022, where they upheld protocols for patient safety and performed COVID-19 analysis testing.

In 2020, Fisayo worked as a Medical Scribe at Skywriter MD from November 2020 to June 2021, and as a Research Assistant at Texas Tech University from June to December 2020. In these roles, Fisayo facilitated research ideas, analyzed complex experiment data, and implemented organizing documents for improved administrative efficiency.

Finally, Fisayo also served as a Student Assistant at Texas Tech University from June 2019 to December 2020, where they supported research activities and performed administrative tasks.

Fisayo Tairu completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, General from Texas Tech University from 2017 to 2020. Following that, Fisayo pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Molecular Pathology from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, which was obtained from 2021 to 2022. Fisayo also obtained several additional certifications during their education journey. In November 2020, they completed the HIPAA Training for Medical Office Staff from HIPAA Exams. In July 2022, Fisayo obtained the Technologist in Molecular Biology (MB) certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). Additionally, in May 2021, Fisayo completed the Biomedical Investigator Course from the CITI Program, A Division of BRANY.
