Nina Leal

Nina Leal has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Nina started their career as a Staff Registered Nurse at Lorma Medical Center in 1991, before moving on to work as an Assistant Director of Nursing at Windsor House Nursing Home from 1993 to 1996. Nina then served as a Staff Registered Nurse at Tennessee Christian Medical Center for two years. Following this, Nina joined Cedars-Sinai as a Staff Registered Nurse from 1998 to 2001. Nina also worked as a Staff Registered Nurse at Kaiser Permanente from 1998 to 2008. In 2008, they started working as a Registered Nurse at Premier Health Partners, and concurrently held the role of Staff Registered Nurse at Miami Valley Hospital from 2008 to 2012. Nina later became a Team Lead Supervisor at Miami Valley Hospital from 2012 to the present. During this period, they also served as the System Manager for CDE at Miami Valley Hospital. In 2022, they joined Miami Valley Hospital South as a Clinical Documentation Specialist, and in 2023, they transitioned to the role of Clinical Product Consultant at Iodine Software. Nina Leal's extensive experience in the healthcare industry showcases their knowledge and expertise in various roles.

Nina Leal has a strong educational background in nursing. Nina obtained a Master of Science in Nursing Management and Administration from Western Governors University from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Nursing Education from Lorma Colleges, where they studied from 1987 to 1991. Additionally, Nina has received two certifications related to their field. In August 2020, they obtained the Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) certification from the Texas ACDIS - Association of Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialists. Furthermore, in December 2022, they obtained the same certification from AHIMA (American Health Information Management Association).
