Janel Michaelis

Janel Michaelis has worked in the Human Resources and Talent Acquisition field since 1994. Janel began their career in the US Army as a Broadcast Journalist/Public Affairs Specialist, where they shot, edited, and produced radio and television news and feature stories. In 2001, they joined TSGI- The Sytex Group as an Assistant Recruiting Manager. In 2005, Janel joined Lockheed Martin as a Lead Recruiter, where they were recognized as an exceptional performer and team player. Janel provided exceptional service and strategic advice to Program Managers, Human Resources Business Partners and internal Talent Acquisition employees, and also led the HR Professionals Development team. In 2011, Janel became the Vice President of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition at IOMAXIS.

Janel Michaelis obtained a Bachelor of Professional Studies (BPS) degree in Leadership and Management from the University of Mary Washington in 2008. Additionally, Janel has a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute.
