Sofie Gillis

Sofie Gillis has a diverse work experience starting in 1999 as a Medical Physicist at AZ st Lucas. Sofie then moved to UZ gent in 2002, where they continued their role as a Medical Physicist until 2005. In 2005, Sofie joined IBA and held various positions such as System Validation Manager, Quality & Regulatory Manager, and Product Development Manager until 2016. Finally, they became the Clinical Solution Director at IBA.

Sofie Gillis completed an accelerated management programme at Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management in 2016. In 2010, they pursued a course in new product development related to industrial marketing at STEM. Sofie holds a Master's degree in Physics from Ghent University, which they obtained between 1992 and 1997. Sofie later went on to earn a PhD in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Ghent University, with a starting year in 2006. Prior to higher education, Sofie attended St Bavo, but no specific degree or field of study is mentioned for that period.
