Engineering at Applied Intuition

Anand Bollu has worked in a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2015. In 2021, they began working as an Engineering at Applied Intuition. Prior to that, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at Carnegie Mellon University in 2020. In 2019, they were a Software Engineer Intern at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where they developed a safety protocol to ensure persistent availability of the Amazon Linux Image on EC2 instances and automated canary testing to perform regular host rebuild tests and record boot time metrics. Additionally, they were an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the Carnegie Mellon University - School of Computer Science - Language Technologies Institute, where they developed a system capable of conversing with the elderly and non-native speakers. Anand was also a Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University in 2017 and a Software Engineer Intern at SchooLinks, where they built a college recommendation engine and implemented a school profile personalisation feature. Finally, they were an Independent Researcher at IIIT Hyderabad in 2015.

Anand Bollu attended Oakridge International School from 2002 to 2016, earning an IB Diploma Programme. Anand then went on to attend Carnegie Mellon University from 2016 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Anand continued their education at Carnegie Mellon University, graduating in 2021 with a Master of Science in Computer Science.
