Samuel L Porrata

Samuel L Porrata has over 40 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry. Samuel L began their career in 1980 as an Engineering Manager at Merck, where they were responsible for managing the day to day utilities operation and the maintenance services for a multi-products, multi-factories complex. Samuel L was also responsible for managing the design and construction of capital improvements projects. In 1988, they moved to United Engineers and Constructors as a Project Manager, where they managed design and construction projects for various clients. From 1990 to 1994, they worked at Sterling Whinthrop as a Project Director, directing and managing planning, design and/or construction activities for assigned R&D facilities projects and manufacturing facilities projects. In 1994, they joined CSA Group, Architects and Engineers as a Senior Project Manager, where they were responsible for delivering of the contracted facilities projects on time, within agreed budget and at the expected quality. In 2014, they moved to AES Clean Technology as a Project Manager, where they managed the day-to-day construction activities for the installation of pre-engineered modular cleanrooms systems. From 2015 to 2016, they worked at Amec Foster Wheeler as a Senior Project Manager, overseeing the day-to-day engineering, design and construction work of the assigned capital projects. From 2016 to 2018, they worked at Hill International, Inc. as a Senior Project Manager, overseeing the day-to-day engineering, design and construction work of the assigned capital projects. Finally, in 2022 they joined Ion Labs, Inc. as a Project Director.

Samuel L Porrata obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez in 1967. Samuel L also obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from UPR - Mayaguez Campus in 1967. In 2020, they obtained a Procore Project Management Finance Management Certificate and a Procore Project Manager Certificate from Procore Technologies.
