Aakaash Manikanth has a diverse work experience in various engineering and leadership roles. Aakaash started their career as an Intern at Garage, Kumaraguru College of Technology, where they gained knowledge in building race cars. Aakaash then worked as the Vice President at MicDrop Education, an educational organization focusing on conducting Model United Nations conferences. In this role, they provided expertise to schools in setting up their own MUN programs. Aakaash also served as the Publicity Head for the iDP Student Club.
During their time at the National University of Singapore, Aakaash worked as a Student Ambassador, representing the university and engaging with prospective students. Aakaash then joined NUS Formula SAE, where they held the position of Head of Cooling and Business. In this role, they were responsible for designing cooling systems for powertrain components and overseeing the sponsorship department.
Aakaash later joined Catalyst Motors Pte Ltd. as a Design Engineer before moving on to their current position at ION Mobility as a Mechanical Design Engineer.
Aakaash Manikanth completed their education at the National University of Singapore from 2018 to 2022, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. Aakaash also pursued a second major in Innovation and Design during their time at the university.
Prior to attending the National University of Singapore, Aakaash completed their high school education at The Indian Public School from 2012 to 2018. Aakaash pursued the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and received their high school diploma.
In addition to their formal education, Aakaash obtained several certifications. Aakaash became a certified Open Water Diver through PADI in October 2022. Aakaash also earned the SolidWorks Mechanical Design Associate certification from Dassault Systèmes in January 2022. Furthermore, they acquired the U21 Global Citizenship certification from Common Purpose in October 2020. Additionally, Aakaash completed online courses in Python Basics and Machine Learning, certified by Coursera, in February 2020 and January 2020 respectively.
