Brian M. Walsh is currently a trustee at Iona College. Prior to that, they worked as a city of Yonkers police officer from August 1999 to June 2018. In their role as a police officer, Brian was responsible for reducing threats and incidents by patrolling assigned areas, executing split-second decision-making to diffuse and resolve hostile situations, investigating illegal and suspicious activity, and testifying under oath in administrative hearings and criminal court cases. Brian also ensured the safety of both the public and their fellow officers by sustaining safety protocol and collaborating with stakeholders. Throughout their 19-year career as a police officer, Brian demonstrated their dedication to keeping the community safe and bringing those who broke the law to justice.
Brian M. Walsh has a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Iona University. Brian is also a graduate of the City of New York Police Academy. Brian has completed 2 training courses and acquired 24 certifications with full list available upon request.
