Michael Huggins

Michael Huggins has over 9 years of experience in the medical technology field. Michael began their career in 2013 as a MI FIT PET Member and PET Service Training Instructor at Siemens Healthineers. In this role, they pioneered the creation of new synthesis methods to reduce radiation exposure to radiochemists and increase radiochemical yield and productivity. Michael also negotiated and implemented the first technology transfer/training agreement with the Australian Government, resulting in new tumor hypoxia biomarker availability in the country. Additionally, they orchestrated the project management of 20 international installations of automated radiochemistry synthesizers and trained customers on the operation and quality control of the equipment. During their time at Siemens, they were also assigned to Business Improvement and Service Marketing Management. In Business Improvement, they negotiated the rerouting of the medical equipment parts supply chain through North America to Central and South America, reducing average shipping times by 2 days and creating 35 million euro in efficiency gains. In Service Marketing Management, they coordinated yearly Service Level Agreement process between modality and largest APAC Country Customers to increase service profitability yearly, managed business relationships as point of contact between several APAC country business units and headquarters, and consulted managers, directors, and finance experts on current business intelligence to correct issues before financial impact. Michael was also assigned Lifecycle Management Lead and directed a 13% global reduction in service costs and a 122% increase in modality profitability with consolidated communications and streamlined supply chain management initiatives. Michael was awarded the Siemens 3i award for re-negotiating consumable contracts in 4 international countries, reducing expenses by 4%. Michael also managed internal sales quote process and booked sales for cyclotron upgrades between factory and country business units. In 2022, Michael Huggins began their current role as Field Service Manager at Ionetix Corporation.
