Adam Pollak

Principal Scientist at Ionis Pharmaceuticals

Adam Pollak is a highly accomplished scientist with extensive experience in biochemistry and molecular biology. Currently serving as a Principal Scientist at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since May 2019, Adam previously held the position of Senior Scientist at the same company. Prior to that, from December 2014 to May 2019, Adam worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow in Jack Dixon's lab at UCSD, where significant contributions included identifying novel substrates of the Fam20C kinase and elucidating its role in cellular calcium signaling and disease prevention. Adam's academic journey began at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where a PhD in Biochemistry was awarded in 2014, following a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Biology from the University of California, Berkeley in 2008.
