Rodrigo dos Santos Chaves

Rodrigo dos Santos Chaves, PhD, is a Senior Scientist at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since April 2023, previously serving as a Scientist at Fate Therapeutics Inc. from April 2021 to March 2023, where expertise was provided in the preclinical development of hIPSC-derived immunotherapeutic candidates. Rodrigo led initiatives for novel differentiation modulation approaches. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of California, San Diego - School of Medicine from November 2015 to December 2021, where a microfluidic device was designed in collaboration with multiple departments to study mechanical injury in hIPSC-derived neurons. Rodrigo holds a Ph.D. in Experimental Physiopathology from USP - Universidade de São Paulo and completed graduate studies in Stem Cells and Alzheimer's Disease at UC San Diego. A Bachelor's degree in Biology was obtained from Universidade Metodista de São Paulo.
