Deepak Shukla

Deepak Shukla's work experience includes various roles in different companies. Deepak is currently serving as the Vice President of Technology at Ionomr Innovations Inc. since January 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an R&D Director at Entegris from July 2022 to January 2023, and as an R&D Director of Performance Materials at CMC Materials from October 2020 to July 2022. Before joining these companies, Deepak had a long tenure at Eastman Kodak Company, where they held the position of Senior Principal Scientist from October 1999 to February 2018. During their time at Kodak, they contributed significantly to the field of printed electronics by inventing a new photochemical process and molecular silver ink for printing silver conductors at room temperature. Deepak also made breakthrough innovations in mature process technologies and invented new plasticizing materials to enhance the optical and chemical properties of cellulose triacetate films used in display applications.

Deepak began their career as an Assistant Research Officer at the National Research Council Canada, where they developed methods to synthesize free radicals for polymer microbeads and synthesized novel sulfonium salts for photo-acid generation. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Houston, conducting research in the area of photoinduced electron transfer chemistry.

Deepak completed their graduate studies at the University of Victoria, where they investigated fundamental reactions of dibenzannelated systems in electronically excited states. Deepak established reaction mechanisms of excited state solvolysis, proton transfer, and charge transfer reactions in various dibenzannelated systems.
