Gary Robb

Gary Robb has a wide range of work experience spanning over 24 years. Gary is currently the owner of Gary M. Robb Consulting and will be serving as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at Ionomr Innovations Inc., effective June 2023. Prior to this, they were the Founder and Chief Technology Officer of Hyzon Motors, a U.S. company developing hydrogen fuel cell systems for commercial vehicles. Gary also served as the President of Gary M. Robb Consulting, Inc., where they set the strategic direction for the company.

Earlier in their career, Robb was a Development Team Leader for Fuel Cell System Durability at General Motors and received the Charles L. McCuen Special Achievement Award for their outstanding contributions. Gary also wore different hats at General Motors as a Program Manager, a Technical Program Manager, and a Project Manager for varied fuel cell and environmental protection projects. Before joining General Motors, they worked as a Gas Analysis Specialist and Project Manager at Johnson Matthey Fuel Processing, where they led the program definition for catalyst development and supply for all aspects of gasoline fuel processing. Overall, Robb has been involved in product development, research activities, strategic planning, team management, and project leadership for a wide range of fuel cell technologies and applications.

Gary Robb obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering from the University at Buffalo from the year 1991 to 1995. Gary then pursued their Master of Science (M.S.) in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati from 1995 to 1997.
