Joshua Goings

Joshua Goings Ph.D. has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Joshua is currently working at IonQ as a Senior Applications Engineer since February 2022. Prior to that, they were a Visiting Researcher at Google from July 2021 to February 2022. Joshua also has experience as a UW Data Science Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Washington eScience Institute from March 2021 to July 2021, as well as a Research Scientist at the University of Washington from July 2020 to July 2021. Joshua has also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Theoretical Chemistry at Yale University from August 2017 to June 2020. Joshua's earlier experience includes being an NSF Graduate Research Fellow at the University of Washington from June 2014 to June 2017, as well as a Graduate Research Assistant from September 2012 to June 2014.

Joshua Goings Ph.D. pursued their education in the field of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Joshua began their academic journey in 2008 at Seattle Pacific University, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry in 2012. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Washington in 2012 and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Theoretical Chemistry in 2017.
