Sean Kilfoy, MBA, MSCS, CNSP

Sean Kilfoy, MBA, MSCS, CNSP, has a diverse range of work experience in cybersecurity and information technology. Currently, they are working as a Penetration Tester at Mastercard, where they identify security gaps and advises on technical controls to improve the company's security posture. Sean also owns their own cybersecurity services company, Kilfoy Cybersecurity Services, where they serve as a vCISO for startups and SMBs, conducting security assessments and developing programs to enhance information security. Previously, Sean has held positions such as Chief Information Security Officer at iOOi, where they focused on data security and privacy, and Cyber Fusion Center Manager at Maryville University of Saint Louis, where they managed a managed security service provider program and expanded the client base. Sean has also worked in roles related to compliance, vendor risk assessment, and vulnerability testing at companies such as Charter Communications, Nestlé GLOBE IS/IT North America, and Gainsight. Earlier in their career, Sean gained experience in information security analysis and incident response at Maryville University Cyber Fusion Center and Principal Financial Group. Additionally, they have leadership experience from their time as a Mobile Expert - Lead at Wireless Vision, where they led a team and contributed to store sales and inventory management. Throughout their various roles, Sean has demonstrated expertise in developing policies, procedures, and training programs related to cybersecurity and information security.

Sean Kilfoy holds a Master of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence from Maryville University of Saint Louis, which they obtained from 2023 to 2024. Before that, they completed a Master of Business Administration with a focus in Cybersecurity from Maryville University of Saint Louis, from 2021 to 2022. Sean also holds a Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity from the same institution, earned from 2017 to 2018.

In terms of undergraduate education, Sean received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, General from Saint Louis University, which they completed from 2007 to 2011. Prior to their college education, they obtained their high school diploma from Kirkwood High School in 2007.

In addition to their educational achievements, Sean has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field of cybersecurity.
