Mykhailo Magal has a long and varied work experience. In 2017, they were the Head of Research and Development at IOTHIC Cybersecurity Ltd., where they developed innovative IoT security protocol for decentralized IoT and V2X world, and executed development of the protocol software and IoT security enablement platform. From 2015 to 2017, they were the Chairman and President at IBC Bridge Canada Inc., where they developed and implemented International Business Cooperation Digital Bridge (IBC Digital Bridge). From 2011 to 2015, they were the Managing Director and IT Strategist & Solution Architect at ComplexIT.ca | Magal IT Consulting. From 1996 to 2000, they were the Director of Projects and Chairman of the Board (volunteer) at OGI International - Civil Initiative Non-for-profit Development Organization. From 2000 to 2011, they were the Managing Director and Founder at Centre for Innovative Technologies. From 1985 to 2000, they were the Scientific Researcher, Ph.D. at Institute for Nuclear Research, National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, where they planned and conducted nuclear experimental research, conducted computerized spectrometric data analysis, produced custom equipment for automation of nuclear experiment, developed methodology and spearheaded experimental equipment for conducting scientific research in the area of nuclear polarization phenomena, prepared numerous scientific reports and 21 scientific articles, earned a Ph.D. degree in physics and mathematics, formulated and presented personal plan of scientific activity for approval by Scientific Council, invented multi channel quadrupole magnetic lens to enable on-the-flight nuclear polarization of atomic beams, and formulated and shared vision of personal scientific research goals in the area.
Mykhailo Magal's education history includes Postgraduate studies at Kyiv Institute for Nuclear Research from 1989 to 1993, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Physics and Mathematics in the field of Experimental Nuclear Physics, Atomic & Nuclear Polarization. From 1980 to 1985, they attended T. Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Physical Faculty, and obtained an M.Sc. in Physics and Nuclear Physics, as well as a lecturer degree. From 1992 to 1993, they attended T. Shevchenko Kyiv National University, Radiophysical Faculty, and obtained a specialist degree in Automation of Scientific Research in the field of Applied Computing Science. In 2011 and 2012, they attended HiTech Institute in Toronto, Canada, in the field of Project Management, IT Business Analysis, and IT Service Management (ITIL). From 2001 to 2003, they attended Institute of International Relations, and obtained an M.Sc. in International Economic Relations in Kyiv, Ukraine. Additionally, they obtained an ITIL v3 certification from EXIN in September 2012.
