Overview

 The Human Resource Generalist will be involved in diverse HR activities, such as onboarding, employee records maintenance, and supporting various HR programs. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring compliance and enhancing the overall employee experience. Collaborating seamlessly within our team, you will be pivotal in maintaining the efficiency of HR processes. We are seeking an ideal candidate with strong organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and an understanding of HR principles. Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to leave liason; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring confidential and sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

  • Interviews and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with the talent acquisition team and departmental managers.

  • Implements and conducts new hire orientation.

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  • Conduct and track exit interviews and prepare summary

  • Participate in Event and Social Committee’s.

  • Other HR initiatives and projects as

  • Comply with Safety SOPs, SDS sheets, and laboratory procedures per company policy and OSHA

Required Education, Skills, and Knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.

  • At least two years of human resource management experience.

Preferred Education, Skills, and Knowledge

  • At least one year of human resource management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • SHRM-CP.
  • Experience working in Biotech or Pharma.

Physical Demands and Activities Required

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time.

  • Must be able to move about inside an office and exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.

  • Must have visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, viewing a computer screen, and extensive reading.

  • This position requires repetitive motion, substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.

  • Must be able to communicate with others to exchange information.

Work Environment

This position will work in both an office and a laboratory setting. When in the lab, there may be a risk of exposure to hazardous or biological waste within the environment through receipt, transport, storage, preparation, dispensing, administration, cleaning, and/or disposal of contaminated areas and waste.
