Kristine Tidgren

Kristen Constant is a distinguished academic and administrator at Iowa State University, where Kristen serves as Vice President and Chief Information Officer and holds multiple professorships, including Professor and Morrill Professor, Chair, and Wilkinson Professor of Interdisciplinary Engineering. With a career that spans over three decades, Kristen has also contributed to organizations such as ABET, serving on the Board of Directors from 2014 to October 2021, and participated as a WIED Officer/member in ASEE until July 2020. Kristen's earlier roles include being a Laboratory Associate at Ames Laboratory-USDOE and a Laboratory Research Assistant at Argonne National Laboratory. Kristen earned a BS in Ceramic Engineering from Iowa State University, followed by a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University, and conducted postdoctoral research in Materials Science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
